BTL Productions was founded in February of 2003, when the prospect of running a successful business appealed to Travis Rodriguez, BTL's owner. A well-known perfectionist and always one to prefer doing things independently, Travis took his years of television experience and his dedication to excellence and went into business for himself.

Travis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Much to the chagrin of generations of Longhorns in his family, he earned a degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University, Fightin' Aggie Class of 2000. In the summer of 1999 Travis interned with Tapestry Films in Beverly Hills, California, reading and evaluating incoming screenplays. He then returned to College Station to work at KAMU-TV.

From 1999 to 2002, Travis learned the roles of all positions necessary to produce television and, after graduation, became a full-time producer/director/editor at KAMU-TV, a PBS affiliate. During this time he and fellow production assistants co-created "Between the Lines", a late-night TV talk and variety show, for which they created sketch comedy, showcased local musical talent and promoted all things A&M.

After realizing his full potential at KAMU-TV, he went off to pursue his passion for professional wrestling at both Ohio Valley Wrestling and the Texas Wrestling Academy (formerly Shawn Michael's Wrestling Academy). An injury during practice kept him sidelined and it was at this crossroads that he decided to start his own production company, working behind-the-scenes instead of in the ring.

Photographer Ron Durica introduced Travis to the wedding industry and, after viewing his very first video, Ron claimed to have never seen better in his 20 years in the business. Since then, Travis has taped and edited well over 150 weddings, along with dozens of other events, with such attention to detail that much of his business now comes from referrals. Due to his multi-faceted background and wide-ranging interests, Travis has the innate ability to make women cry tears of joy, brooding musician's smile with gratitude and 300-pound bodybuilders flex with excitement at the quality of his work.
